Academics at GBS
“Cambridge International Education” to children aged 6 to 18.

Why?
Cambridge Curriculum
The rounded, results-focused Cambridge Education System is the most widespread curriculum taught in international schools across the world. We follow the broad, balanced Cambridge curriculum, delivering an “Internationally British” education in English to children aged 6 to 18.
Our!
School Divisions
Gothenburg British School (GBS) is divided as follows:
Cambridge Primary School Years 1 - 2
The Cambridge Primary programme is designed – with the help of expert educators in schools and universities – to challenge students, and get them excited about what they’re learning.

Cambridge Primary School Years 3- 6
Cambridge Primary provides a broad and balanced education for our learners, helping them to thrive throughout their schooling, with plenty of opportunities to develop creativity, expression and wellbeing.
Cambridge Lower Secondary Years 7 - 9
The Cambridge programmes are designed to help students learn.
Students have to demonstrate understanding and the core knowledge of a subject, as well as think critically. Exams are there to recognise, reward and encourage learning.

Cambridge IGCSE Years 10 & 11
Students work towards Cambridge IGCSE, the world’s most popular international qualification for 15 to 16 year olds. Students build a broad learning programme from a range of over 70 subjects.
Cambridge International AS & A Level Years 12 & 13
Students work towards Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications – giving them the choice to specialise, or study from a diverse range of subjects. Success in Cambridge qualifications often give students admission to the world’s best universities – in the US, Australia, Canada, Germany and beyond. Cambridge qualifications are accepted and valued by universities around the world.
